Our Story.

Menopauseis still one of the most silently endured transitions in African professional life. Cultural taboos, limited healthcare access, and workplaces designed without women's midlife health in mind have left 47 million African women aged 40–58 navigating symptoms at the peak of their careers, often in isolation.

We founded Menopause@Work Africa because silence has a cost, a measurable one.

We created a platform that finally makes support feel safe, private, and respectful, while turning a hidden productivity liability into a strategic advantage for forward-thinking African employers.

Our Mission Image

Our Mission

To break the silence around menopause in African workplaces without ever compromising dignity or privacy.

  • Confidential, judgment-free support for women
  • Actionable, anonymized insights for HR and managers
  • Ready-to-use policies and tools that respect African cultural contexts

Why We Exist -
The African Reality

47 million African women aged 40-58 are in active employment

Fewer than 3% of African employers offer any menopause support

Women aged 40-55 represent 22% of Sub-Saharan Africa's formal workforce

Unmanaged symptoms cost mid-sized employers $1.2M-$2.4M annually in attrition, absenteeism, and presenteeism.

African Reality Image

*This is not a "wellness nice-to-have." It is a balance-sheet issue and a health-equity imperative.

Our Unique Approach

Unlike generic wellness programmes or Western-adapted solutions, Menopause@Work Africa was built from the ground up for African professional women and workplaces.
